Horses
Scientific Name: Equus caballus
Habitat
Horses live usually on farms, where they are kept as pets and used for farm work. On farms they live with animals like pigs, cows, chickens, ponies, and roosters. Out in the wild they live in Mongolia, China, Nevada, and Chincoteague Island in Virginia. They live in herds in the wild, and will live in herds in captivity if there are enough horses. They live well with other animals as long as they aren't afraid of the other animal or the other animal isn't aggressive. Otherwise, horses are very gentle creatures and will interact appropriately to other animals.
Diet
Horses eat a variety of things. Here's a pretty long list: apples, carrots, barley, bran, cod liver oil, chaff, eggs, horse nuts or mixes, linseed, maize, root vegetables, oats, molichaff or mollichop, seaweed, hay, alfalfa, salt, grain, and oat hay. Horses are herbivores, which means that they don't eat meat.
Description
Horses look a lot like zebras except for a few minor differences. Horses come in a wide variety of different breeds and colors, unlike zebras. Also, instead of a black and white Mohawk-like hairdo, they have log, flowing manes that come in one solid color. Also, a horses ears are smaller since they don't have to constantly watch out for predators. The last major difference is that horses are a bit skinnier and stronger built than zebras. Even though they're in the same scientific family, they sure are different!
